LAS VEGAS -- As reported by the BBC: ``Canadian diva Celine Dion has launched her three-year run performing in Las Vegas. The singer will perform about 600 concerts at the famous Caesar's Palace Hotel with her stint not due to end until 2006.
``The show was launched with a star-studded première but the celebrations were dampened because of the war in Iraq, with the after-show party being cancelled.
``The show, entitled A New Day, is being staged in a purpose-built theatre which seats 4,100 people.
``Dion will share the stage with 48 glamorously-costumed dancers, three backing singers and eight musicians.
``...`I feel like I'm inviting my fans to my home,' she told USA Today newspaper..."
